About Me.

I’m Madeleine, Mads, Mad, whatever you want to call me, as long as it’s not Maddi.

While writing and rewriting and then rewriting some more, I found I kept coming back to what motivates me. Who am I? Why did I pursue this? How did I accomplish that?

Passion - often sparked by my fear for normalcy and natural curiousity for all things ‘weird.’

Because of this, my life has led me to the unexpected (including the frustration of web design).

I’ve found myself:

  • Marching in the 2017 Women’s March in Washington DC

  • Hosting a sports radio show

  • Backpacking solo through Europe

  • Stranded on an island in the Phillippines

  • Graduating early from Penn State University with a BA in Journalism

  • Editing an award-winning documentary in Da Nang, Vietnam

  • Growing a remote career in Bali and Australia

  • Moving to Telluride, Colorado

  • Notching 100 days a season on my snowboard

  • Contributing to a published book

  • Winning the Telluride rec-league soccer championship

I’m still saying I’m going to write a book, but just write in my journal instead, playing Sierra Ferrell on repeat, mastering the perfect greek salad, snowboarding in Telluride, ignoring oxford comma slander, and planning my next big adventure. My current nighttime musings lead me on a trip through each time zone.
